On June 20, 2025, we hosted a Halal Speed Dating event in Dallas, and we are proud to share that over 120 amazing participants joined us for an evening built on faith, respect, and genuine connection.

The event was held at a private venue and designed to give Muslim professionals a safe and comfortable space to meet potential matches — all within the boundaries of Islamic values. Seeing so many people come together with sincere intentions reminded us why Proposal exists: to make finding a spouse easier, halal, and community-driven.

Building Stronger Communities Through Masjid Matchmaking

As we continue to grow, one of our biggest goals is to bring the process of matchmaking back into our masajid. That’s why we’re launching the Masjid Matchmaking Program, which allows local mosques and community leaders to facilitate introductions safely through the Proposal platform. Imams and masjid administrators will be able to guide and oversee the process, ensuring privacy, authenticity, and alignment with Islamic principles.

From Match to Marriage: The Wedding Planning Experience

Beyond helping people meet, Proposal now helps couples plan their wedding, too. Through our Wedding Planning feature, users can connect with verified Muslim-friendly vendors for venues, catering, photography, décor, and more. My vision has always been to create one platform where Muslims can move from “match” to “marriage” — without leaving the app or compromising their values.

Introducing Proposal 2.0 Web: AI Meets Human Understanding

Our next big milestone is Proposal 2.0, launching soon. This new version combines AI-powered matchmaking with human matchmaker review, offering the best of both worlds — smart recommendations guided by empathy and trust.

At its core is the Big 5 Personality Test, which helps users understand their traits and compatibility with others. Our AI then suggests compatible profiles based on personality data, lifestyle, and values — and a human matchmaker reviews every match to ensure it truly fits both Islamic guidelines and personal preferences.

Looking Ahead

The success of our Dallas event was more than just a great turnout; it was proof that Muslims are ready for a new, halal, and intelligent way to meet. With the upcoming launch of Proposal 2.0, the Masjid Matchmaking feature, and our Wedding Planning ecosystem, we’re continuing our mission to connect Muslims in meaningful, faith-based ways, both online and in person.
